IRVINE, Calif. (Sept. 11, 2019) – Southern California-based automaker and high-tech incubator Karma Automotive has expanded the VVIP offerings of its newly-opened flagship retailer in Newport Beach, Calif., to include a full service center, following the showroom’s recent official opening.
The new showroom and service center is adjacent to John Wayne Airport and provides Karma with the size and resources it needs to ensure future growth and scalability as the company launches its new 2020 Revero GT and readies itself for the future introduction of a global, all-electric platform starting in 2021.
Karma Newport Beach celebrated its grand opening last month at 4040 Campus Drive in Newport Beach with a ribbon cutting ceremony attended by Newport Beach city officials, Karma executives and customers. The evening featured a showcase of both the 2020 Revero GT and SC1 Vision Concept car as well as two final customized original Reveros, serving as examples of Karma’s customization offerings.
“Among Karma’s many attributes is our passion for our customers and providing an ownership experience that is personal and special,” explains John Maloney, Karma’s Chief Revenue Officer. “It’s essential that our flagship store reflects the essence of our brand, especially as Karma enters a period of rapid product introductions.”
According to Maloney, Karma is a global company with California roots — its operational headquarters are in Irvine and vehicles are built largely by hand in Moreno Valley, Calif. The induction of Karma Newport Beach is a natural extension of the luxury automaker’s identity, and a valuable resource for the company as it expands its domestic and international reach.
Karma Newport Beach’s new service center, located on-site at its 15,000 square foot facility, is part of company plans to offer a range of VVIP offerings to customers. Showroom visitors can experience a new customization center, state-of-the-art vehicle and photo staging area, airport concierge service, and a floor large enough to accommodate up to 20 Revero GTs and certified pre-owned Reveros.
Karma Newport Beach’s management team includes Kevin Kress, General Manager; Chris Sweeney, Sales and Finance Manager; Deborah Carter, Controller; Gordon Marr, Fixed Operations Manager; and Jeffrey Cunningham, Brand Experience Specialist.
The automaker is currently represented by a growing list of 21 retail partners in the U.S., Canada and select export markets. Karma’s growth plans will take the company from one continent in 2018, to four continents this year and next before bringing the brand to China in 2021.
